신신은 신해옥과 신동혁이 운영하는 그래픽 디자인 스튜디오로, 여러 문화 기관, 개인 등 다양한 협업자와 활발하게 일해오고 있다. 신해옥이 책을 구조로 삼아 텍스트,
이미지, 페이지를 서로 교차시키며 직조하는 것에 관심을 두고 그 안에서 발견되는 관계성에 주목하는 반면, 신동혁은 그래픽 디자인의 역사나 양식, 관습, 전통, 이론
따위를 재료 삼아서 ‘지금, 여기’라는 맥락에 걸맞는 결과물로 갱신해 내는 방식을 고안하는데 관심이 많다. 2020년부터 미디어버스의 임프린트인 화원을 설립하여,
디자인 방법론이 구조와 물성을 지닌 사물로 이어지는 디자인의 수행적 실천에 주목하며 독자적인 출판물을 발행해 오고 있다. 신해옥은 이화여자대학교, 계원예술대학교에서,
신동혁은 건국대학교에서 그래픽 디자인을 가르치며 본인의 관심사를 학생들과 동기화하고 있다.

조현열은 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 그래픽 디자이너이다. 2010년 독립 스튜디오 헤이조(Hey Joe)를 설립한 이후 그는 예술가, 출판사, 큐레이터, 문화 기관과
협력해 왔다. 그는 현재 한국 서울에서 그래픽 디자인과 타이포그래피를 가르치고 있다.

SHDW는 양승훈과 이동원, 두 명으로 구성된 그래픽 디자인 스튜디오다. 각각 홍디자인과 포스트 포에틱스에서 그래픽 디자이너로 일했었고, 2021년부터 함께
스튜디오를 운영하고 있다. 뮤지션, 포토그래퍼, 인테리어 스튜디오, 패션 브랜드, 레코드샵 등 다양한 분야의 클라이언트와 프로젝트를 진행했으며, 앞으로 더 다양한
분야와의 만남을 기대하고 있다.

typefaces
by Heejae Yang, including collaborative designs with other creatives. By being located on the other
side
of the world from the regions of the Latin alphabet, the Korean foundry brings fresh interpretations
to
the script.

Shin Shin is Shin Haeok and Shin Donghyeok, a graphic design studio based in Seoul, Korea.
Haeok is interested in interweaving and threading a strand of texts, images and pages within
the structure of a book. She focuses on the observed relationships in them, while
Donghyeok’s interest lies in contemplating the ways of renewing the history, styles,
conventions, traditions, and theory of graphic design, in the context of ‘here, now.’ They
both studied at Dankook University and Haeok graduated from the Yale School of Art with an
MFA in Graphic Design in 2018. They have worked together in the fields of art and culture
area, collaborating in partnership with curators, editors, artists and institutions since
2008. They are continuing in parallel with self-initiated projects as well as participating
in various exhibitions, while teaching at Universities and synchronizing their interest with
students. In 2020, they set up their own publisher, Hwawon, as an imprint of Mediabus to
focus on the performative aspect of design practice in which design methodology crystallizes
into the structure and materiality of an object.

Kwangmoo Lee +
Kwangmoo Lee is a graphic designer and illustrator. He creates artwork for exhibitions,
books, magazines, fashion and some other stuff.

Youl Joe +
Youl Joe is a Seoul-based graphic designer. Since establishing the independent studio Hey
Joe in 2010, he has worked with artists, publishers, curators, and cultural institutions. He
currently teaches graphic design and typography in Seoul, Korea.

SHDW is a graphic design studio founded by Seunghoon Yang and Dongwon Lee in 2021. Prior to
SHDW, they worked at hongdesign and Post Poetics as graphic designers, respectively. SHDW
has produced a wide variety of projects in the fields of music, photography, interior
design, fashion, record shops and many more are to come.
